Take Stock in Children promotes personal growth, responsibility, and academic success for deserving low-income children by providing a unique set of resources including mentors, scholarships, long-term support, student advocacy, and a guaranteed educational opportunity. The program prepares and develops students to be successful individuals focused on being their best and contributing members of society.
Recently, the Hernando County Take Stock in Children (TSIC) Program recognized the many volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts toward students enrolled in the TSIC program. These individuals work individually with TSIC students to assist them and encourage their productivity. The group additionally recognized Christene Yant as the Mentor of the Year.
