Robert Pacchiarotti has served as a law enforcement officer in Hernando County since 1985. He is currently a detective and an in-service trainer for the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, a part-time instructor for WTI Criminal Justice Academy, since 2009, and also is a partner and instructor for Fleet Auto Collision Training Services, LLC. Pacchiarotti co-authored the Florida Sheriff's Association's Teen Driver Challenge, a defensive driving and collision avoidance course geared at reducing teen driving incidents and helped develop the Defensive Driver program for the Citrus County Commissioners Risk Management Board which helped to reduce county employee fleet crashes by 70% in just ten months. He is active with the Nature Coast Lodge #164 of the Fraternal Order of Police and serves as Committee Member for Boy Scouts of America Troop #433, since 2002. Pacchiarotti has received numerous awards and recognitions including Deputy of the Year (1996), DARE Officer Practitioner (2008), Pride in Achievement awarded for service to Explorer Post #409 (2010), and Master Deputy Sheriff, re-certification (2012).
