Create a Scholarship

The Foundation has more than 220 named endowments and 50 annual scholarships. Options include creating a named scholarship or contributing to the general scholarship fund. During the 2020-2021 academic year, the PHSC Foundation assisted 950 students with over $1,219,000 in scholarship funding.

Annual Scholarship

Funded and distributed annually, your contribution fills an immediate need. Choose to create the fund in your name or in honor of a loved one.

What is an Annual Scholarship?

An annual scholarship creates a way for donors to provide immediate support to PHSC students.

How Does an Annual Scholarship Work?

With a minimum gift of $1,300, donors have the option to name the scholarship fund and set the criteria for eligibility. 

Benefits of Establishing an Annual Scholarship

Annual Scholarship gifts will typically be awarded in the year they are donated, allowing the donor to make an immediate impact.

Endowment Scholarship

An endowment is the gift that keeps on giving and may be established at a level of $15,000 or above. This long-term option exists in perpetuity with the corpus invested among the Foundation’s assets with earnings providing the award. Once established, your generosity will continue to benefit PHSC students year after year.

What is an Endowed Scholarship

An endowed scholarship is created with a donation to the college for a specific purpose. The money donated to establish the fund is not spent and is considered permanent. The investment income earned from the endowment is used to fund the scholarship.

How a Scholarship Endowment Works

The donor specifies how the funds are used, names the scholarship and sets the criteria for eligibility.
