The Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation recently received a $1,300 gift from TRU Simulation + Training in Lutz. Beginning this fall, two $650 scholarships will be awarded. The scholarships will go to students pursuing associate degrees through PHSC newest aviation programs. Professional pilot technology and aviation administration AS degree programs began in August. TRU scholarships are the first dedicated solely for aviation programs. Eric Schilens, program director for TRU, and Angela Kaul, technical writer for TRU, recently presented a check at the PHSC aviation program open house.
